EVALUATION - Final Sound modifications

We are extremely pleased with the final product of our trailer. After much consideration a few weeks ago we selected the soundtrack "Abducted". As well as being just the right tempo and mood for the genre of our film, once we had added the music into the background it fit with our trailer perfectly. We have lined up the backing music to ensure that each climax and dramatic pause in the music fits perfectly with the actors movements on the screen and also with the transitions and cuts between shots. We were especially proud of the alignment of the music with the shot of Eric removing a kitchen knife from a draw, the climatic build of the music create tension as he inspects the blade and the height of this tension cuts off abruptly with the transition into the next shot.

We have lined up our sound effects exactly to what we hope is a perfect match to the footage, as mentioned below we inserted the chosen knocking sound three times and placed it in the trailer in just the right moments, we also positioned the phone sound to start ringing a split second before the character turns worriedly in the direction of the ringing phone.

We are looking forward to uploading the finished piece onto the blog!

Lucy :)
