This is a perfect example of a typical teaser. The clip is no more than 2 minutes long, and barely even hints at the narrative of the film. Since Toy Story is such a well known feature the producers can afford to display the date at the end of the trailer, the words "June 18, 2010" are displayed clearly across the screen at the end of the trailer. As most teasers wouldn't even give a year of release, let alone a specific date, this trailer is made really unusual. The short clip shows fans several familiar characters and gives enough time for each of them to show their recognisable personality, meaning that the audience is instantly awake and exited, knowing this is a date which they want to remember. The trailer even has some comical elements to make it memorable, even though it uses no clips from the film and is created purely for advertisement purposes.
