EVALUATION - Consideration of our titles and captions

We have chosen to have our captions for our trailer in a glowing red colour outlining the white text. We chose to use the contrasting colours of red and white in order to portray the innocence of our main character, and the possible danger that she is in. The colour red also insinuates that there could be bloodshed in the film.
For the captions which are interspersed between the images we ensured that they continued on from each other to link all the shots together, to make sure this was clear we ended each sentence in a "...". We chose this font because we though it would be simple and easy for the audience to read at first glance, so it would be dramatic but not detract from the story line.
We chose to display this text as captions rather than in a voice over so as to appeal to a wider target audience, and to give the film a more professional feel to it.

The title of our film, 'Runaway', is contrasted from our main captions as we have put the font into italics to represent the fast moving pace of the film, to mirror how the character is literally "running away". We have outlined the font in a white glow to illustrate how dark his character is compared to her innocence. For the release date we tinted the font in blue to symbolise the shadow which is taking over her life. We chose to display "Runaway" in a different font from the captions because we wanted the title to stand out and because we wanted to make the difference between them clear, showing the significance of the word "Runaway".
