EVALUATION - Trailers

Our task is to make a Teaser trailer, the short version which is released before the actual Theatrical trailer.

Teaser trailer ~ doesn't aim to disclose the narrative (give away the story line) it aims to inform the audience of a films release, to generate hype and awareness of the film. It will often try to re-enforce a films genre and a films branding e.g. Toy Story trailer analysed below. A teaser is shorter than the main trailer, and is designed to create excitement, suspense and impact.

Theatrical trailer ~ will often rely on narrative. They are around two minutes long and gives audiences a detailed account of plot and character.

In order to create an effective Teaser trailer we must keep it simple and short, but also reveal enough of the plot to engage the audience and generate excitement.
