RESEARCH AND PLANNING - Film Magazine Analysis

This is another different magazine cover. As the main USP of this cover, there is a large picture of Johnny Deep, which takes up 3/4 of the page. As you can see he isn't in character. This shows that there is an interview of him as himself and this is just as attractive than him in one of his characters. However, in our magazine cover, we are going to have Raf as his character, because the audience would know him as Eric not Raf. He is engaging directly with the audience, by smiling at them. The title of the magazine is the largest text and written in bubble writing. As with many other magazines, part of the title is covered up by the picture. The text is all on the left hand side with the picture dominating the right. At the top of the cover is a tag line saying 'The movie Bible since 1950.' This can entice the audience into reading this magazine as it has been around for many years and saying it is the Bible shows that many people can look to it for guidance. The main colour scheme for this cover is blue, with the text in white, to contrast it from other magazines.
