RESEARCH AND PLANNING - History Boys

This is a poster for the British film The History Boys, all the main characters are shown along with their teacher. The main character in the film is in the center but he is not the biggest, the way he and the rest of the boys are standing however shows that the are confident and perhaps arrogant. No women are shown in the poster which makes sense considering the title. The tag line says History. It's just one bloody thing after another. The use of the word bloody is typically English and shows the audience that it is a British film (the well known actors and the school uniforms also show this). At the top of the poster it mentions how good and well respected the stage show was, this would attract people to go and see the film. The background of the poster is white, on it it looks like someone has drawn on which pencil and old building this could show the school or some part of British landscape. I think this poster is simple but effective, it has good genre indicators of the school uniform, the teachers costume and the building.
